At Freedom Church, everything we believe begins with Jesus Christ and is grounded in the Word of God. We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God and the foundation for what we believe and how we live.
We believe there is one God, who has revealed Himself to humanity as Father in Creation, Son in Redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in regeneration. Jesus Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. God manifested in the flesh: fully God and fully man. Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus made salvation available to all who will come to Him.
We believe the Gospel calls us to a New Testament new-birth experience. By the grace of God, we respond to the Gospel through faith and repentance, water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, with speaking in other tongues as the initial biblical sign of the Spirit’s infilling. This is the pattern proclaimed by the apostles and demonstrated throughout the book of Acts.
We believe the Holy Spirit is still active in the Church today. Transforming lives, empowering believers, producing spiritual fruit, and equipping the Church to continue the mission of Jesus in the world. As followers of Christ, we are called to pursue holiness, love God and one another, serve our neighbors, and live lives that reflect Jesus in both character and conduct.
And we believe Jesus Christ is coming again. We live with the hope of His return, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal life with Him.
Our message is Jesus. Our foundation is His Word.
Our mission is to help people find Jesus, find family, and find freedom.

REPENTANCE OF SINS
Repentance is more than simply feeling sorry for our sins, it is a change of heart and direction. We turn away from sin and toward God, surrendering our will to Him and choosing to follow Jesus. Just as Christ died for us, through repentance we die to our old way of life and begin walking with Him.

Baptism is our identification with the burial of Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that we are buried with Him through baptism, having our sins washed away as we call upon the name of Jesus. Following the pattern of the early church, believers were baptized by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.

Receiving the Holy Ghost is experiencing the promise of God personally. Just as Jesus rose from the grave into new life, the Holy Ghost gives us new spiritual life and power to live for God. In the book of Acts, believers received the Holy Ghost and spoke with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. This promise is still available to every believer today.
